I grew up working for the family business. This taught me the value of hardwork and an honest days pay. Once I had a family of my own, my goal has been to pass these values on to my children.
My son William is partially mentally disabled. He is a great son and doesn't mind helping me with yardwork or around the house. I started providing lawn care for friends and family and it has since expanded.
Knowing the struggles William will face later on in life, not being able to work a conventional job, I decided to focus my time and energy into working for myself, with William being my assistant; the goal being that he will one day take on a true partnership role. This will guarantee that he will be able to contribute to his own future and help him to be that much more self sufficient. There is no greater feeling than knowing you are securing your child's future. ~ Gerald Banks
